Modern Architecture

Built with Compose Multiplatform

Amethyst is engineered with Compose Multiplatform to deliver maximum hardware performance across desktop and mobile, while maintaining the ability to talk directly to low-level native APIs like CoreMidi.

Amethyst runs natively across desktop (macOS, Windows, Linux) and mobile (Android, iOS) featuring a custom-tailored mobile UI built specifically for touch devices rather than lazy desktop scaling.

This approach allows us to write platform-specific implementations for MIDI handling, hardware acceleration, and system-level performance optimizations. By talking directly to each OS instead of running inside a bloated web wrapper, everything stays incredibly fast and responsive.
